Not really, but it sounds better than “i was tired and busy”.

KKCK:

Metro Station “Seventeen Forever”
Electro pop rock never sounded so…safe.  Too safe.  Something nefarious is going on here.

Coldplay “Lovers in Japan”
This is not meant to be confused with “I Love Japan” by Cosplay.  The song is by Coldplay, which makes it a hit thanks to a U.N. Resolution.

Justin Timberlake “Magic”
There has been some negative commentary about this one around the building, but I quite enjoy the beat.  Notice I didn’t say I could dance to it.  Well, I could, but that wouldn’t make anybody happy except the advertisers on a YouTube page that featured it.

Missy Higgins “Where I Stood”
This young Australian singer/songwriter might have a bright future, but her name always takes me back to Higgins from ”Magnum P.I”.  Curse you John Hillerman!  Wow, I had no idea he wasn’t British.  Anyway, the song should be a solid day-timer that won’t be as big as it should be.

Eric Hutchinson “Rock and Roll”
I fast-forwarded past his performance on Craig Ferguson’s show a week or so ago.  I took a look at him and thought “yeah, I won’t ever need to know who that guy is”.  Oops.  That will teach me to take Craig Ferguson’s music choices lightly.  Oh, the song is a catchy little ditty that may not rock you very hard, but rather it will rock you very soft, but in a rock sort of way.  It’s more head-bobber than head-banger.

Pick to click: Justin Timberlake

Well, I’m not as busy, but I’m fighting a headache and the regular busy.  I know I say it all the time, but we’ll see if I can crank out a weekender.

Have you checked her vid for “Where I Stood” yet?

  2. Anonymous Says:

did you get the cease and desist order for “Magic”

Nope. The problem was we didn’t get any calls for it, and it didn’t stay on the charts long (we dropped it last week I think). I hadn’t heard about the cease and desist order. Thanks for the heads up.
